Scope and acceptance
Consulting work begins only after a separate written proposal or engagement agreement has been accepted. It should identify the scope, deliverables, fees, responsibilities and timing. Website enquiries are preliminary and do not constitute acceptance of an engagement. This preview does not accept orders or payments.
Services and deliverables
Services may include management strategy, operational reviews, process improvement, organisational development, non-financial operational performance analysis and growth planning. Deliverables and any implementation support must be defined in the proposal. No particular commercial result is guaranteed. Financial audits, investment advice and regulated financial activities are outside the stated scope.
Client responsibilities
The client should provide accurate relevant information, nominate a decision-maker and arrange access to appropriate people and materials. The parties should identify dependencies and required decisions. Delays or incomplete information may require changes to the plan, which should be discussed and recorded.
Fees, payment and changes
Fees, applicable taxes, expenses, invoicing milestones and payment dates must be agreed in writing. There are no standard prices or online payment obligations on this website. Changes to activities, deliverables or assumptions should be confirmed with any resulting changes to fees and timing before additional work begins.
Confidentiality and personal information
Each party should protect confidential information received for the engagement and use it only for agreed purposes, except where disclosure is authorised or legally required. Any processing of personal information, security requirements and necessary data-processing terms should be agreed before sharing such information.
Intellectual property
Rights to project deliverables, permitted use, pre-existing methods and third-party materials should be specified in the engagement agreement. No rights are transferred merely by an enquiry. Each party must have permission to supply the materials it provides.
Liability and termination
Any proportionate liability limits and termination arrangements must be stated in the engagement agreement and remain subject to applicable law. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. On termination, the parties should account for completed work, committed costs, prepaid unused services and the return or deletion of confidential material as appropriate.
Disputes and applicable law
Raise concerns promptly at hello@stovelo.uk so they can be discussed and investigated. The parties should first seek a practical resolution. Unless otherwise lawfully agreed, England and Wales law applies, without removing mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring proceedings in an applicable jurisdiction.
